Festival of Public Health UK 2014

The ever growing Festival of Public Health UK took place for a 3rd year on the 1st July 2014. It attracted high profile delegates from around the world and from various fields and professions.

There were talks from some of the most influential people in the world of Public Health, and keynote speakers included:

2014’s festival also marked the 7 year anniversary of the smoking ban in England, so the Chief Executive of Tobacco Free Futures, Helen McFarlane, delivered a special plenary talk about the dangers of smoking and the positive effects the ban has had. Tobacco Free Futures are leading experts in tackling tobacco. They aim to drive down smoking rates by changing the way that people think about tobacco.
