This year's Festival of Public Health UK will fall on July 1st 2014, exactly 7 years to the day since the smoking ban was implemented in England. On July 1st 2007, it became illegal to smoke in enclosed work places in England (England followed in the footsteps of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, who all implemented the ban at an earlier date).
To mark the 7th Anniversary, we have invited Helen McFarlane from Tobacco Free Futures to deliver a talk. Tobacco Free Futures are leading experts in tackling tobacco. They aim to drive down smoking rates by changing the way that people think about tobacco. They have implemented many hard-hitting and award-winning campaigns.
