Social Activities

Students will have from 1:00pm Wednesday afternoon free for social/recreation activities, such as sport, city tours and places of interest.

Free time at the weekends is allocated for independent travel and study. We strongly advise that you wait to receive the course timetable before making any travel plans.

The International Society at The University of Manchester organises a programme of trips and visits at the weekend for students to explore Manchester, its surrounding areas and beyond. Please be aware these are optional and that charges will apply.

Visit Manchester offers information on interesting places to visit in and around Manchester. Many of these trips are free, however some are chargeable. Please check their website for more information.

Students at The University of Manchester will act as ambassadors and answer any questions you may have about Manchester and help you make the most of your time here.
