The Thomas Ashton Institute for Risk and Regulatory Research
The Thomas Ashton Institute for Risk and Regulatory Research is a strategic partnership between the University of Manchester and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), focused on advancing knowledge and practice in risk management, regulation, and public protection. Our mission is to deliver impactful, interdisciplinary research that informs policy, improves workplace safety, and enhances public health outcomes.
At the Festival of Public Health, we are excited to share our latest research and initiatives that explore the intersection of risk, regulation, and health. Our work spans topics such as occupational health, the future of work, mental wellbeing, and environmental risk. We collaborate closely with policymakers, regulators, industry, and communities to ensure our research leads to meaningful change.
Visit our stall to meet our team, explore our projects, and discover how we are shaping safer, healthier futures through evidence-based innovation.
