HAPPY Scheme

HAPPY (the ‘Healthy and Proactive Project for Youth’) is a community-based public health initiative led by medical students at the University of Manchester, aiming to promote a healthy lifestyle for children across Greater Manchester by delivering interactive lessons on PSHE themes such as the importance of a balanced diet, exercise and. Originally established to educate children of primary school ages, H.A.P.P.Y. has recently expanded to include nursery school children. It is hoped that targeting younger children may prove even more effective in inspiring behaviour change, making a positive difference to the health of future generations.
