Natalie Bennett
Natalie Bennett, or Baroness Bennett of Manor Castle for really formal occasions, entered the House of Lords as its second Green Party peer in 2019, having been party leader from 2012-2016, when in the 2015 general election it won more votes than it had done in every previous election added together. She's unusual in politics in having a science degree (agriculture at Sydney), and has worked on many health issues since her entry to the House, including on the Medicines and Medical Devices and Health and Social Care Acts. She's currently particularly focused on the environmental impacts of pharmaceutical products, as part of a broader interest in the breaching of the planetary boundary for novel entities.
